Cliff teaches several courses at the unmdegaduate and graduate level, mostly focusing on Indigenous peoples and resource issues, such as fisheries, forestry, mining, energy (fossil fuels and renewable). Students learn to view contemporary resource issues through a number of critical lenses, including Indigenous self-determination, environmental politics, settler colonialism, and neoliberal capitalism.
